Part 2 presentation and final report
We know you do not like reading so we will make it short and easy for you to understand. Full presentation is at the end of the page.

Overall Problem
In the US, 91.5% households own at least 1 vehicle, finding a parking spot in the rush hour will be difficult. Especially students, workers who commute to school or works places.
Resreach and Goal
For research, we used 2 methods which are survey and interview. The goal was to know the habit of parking from different people with different background, and how willing they will use the app for their parking.

Result on the resreach
The result was predictable, all of our participants have/had trouble with their parking and willing to use a tool to help them with the parking.
This is what we came up with
Design 1
This is for registration for the app, you need to register for your vehicle, this is going to be just a one time thing. After register for your vehicle, it will be easier for us to help you with your parking experience.

Design 2
We design an app that can handle all of the tasks. With just some simple touches, you will find the spot that you want and reserve it.

Design 3
Display boards to show that there are empty spots in the lot for you to pull in. (O means spots available, X means no).

The goal of our design was to help the users to look for the closest parking spot that near or at the destination. By using an app, users can control their time before the arrival. They can look for available parking spots or even reserve the one they like or frequently park.
Task Analysis Question
Who is going to use the design?
Our design was created to help people who commute or have trouble with finding a parking spot in the rush hours or even in an unfamiliar area. Mostly will be business owners who want to manage their parking spaces easily. Students who commute to school and don’t have to go an hour before class to find a parking spot.
What tasks do they now perform?
What tasks do they now perform?
People who commute to public parking lots will be able to find an empty space with ease with the help of our display board design, which is easy to observe and time saving. For our apps, people can look at the availability of the parking lots prior to their arrival. Looking for a parking spot to park in an unfamiliar area, or even reserve a parking spot, all of the functionality is packed into an app on the phone.
For parking lots, people only need to look at the display board and see if there is an empty space that they could get into. Or even just a simple task like click on the app, type in the destination and see which parking spot is the most convenient to them, or even reserve it right on the app.
